Hello, my name is Sadana, and I’m a 17-year-old based in Bangalore. Growing up surrounded by a family of doctors, I was naturally intrigued by medicine. Every summer, when I visited my grandparents’ town, I’d sit with my grandmother in her clinic as she evaluated patients- I observed, learnt and was eager for more. When I was 12, my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Our whole family was distressed about her condition, especially me. For a few months, she came to live with us to get treated in a hospital in the city. On the weekends, I’d accompany her to her chemotherapy sessions. Hello, my name is Kaveesh and I'm a 16 year old IB student, currently nearing the end of DP 1. My HL subject selection for the DP is Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. To help me achieve my long time dream, I aim to attend medicine course in a university in UK. Over the past 2 years, I have pursued various opportunities to gain hands-on experience in the medical field, such as volunteering at local hospitals and shadowing healthcare professionals. I believe that with hard work, dedication and a tiresome…

Hi! My name is Kamya Hiranandani and I'm a 17-year-old IB student. I was raised in China for 14 years, before moving to my birthplace, Mumbai, India. Being in the DP has been a rigorous, yet rewarding experience, and this is mostly due to the choices that I have made in regards to my HL subjects, which are inclusive of Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. Out of these three broad areas of science, I find Biology to be one that truly grasps my attention and evokes a passionate student. I've always wanted to be a doctor, and knowing that it requires me to study biology for 10+ years after high school excites me tremendously, especially because of how vast and beautiful the science really is, where we try to understand nature around us, and our depth of knowledge just continues to grow! Not to mention, the various and abundant career opportunitie…
